We are hiring a Freelance Sales and Production Assistant:

Launched in 2021, Mamma G Cookies produces artisanal NY-style cookies across a wide range of unique flavours. So far we have grown the business by selling online, and at markets across London. We are just about to open our first shop in Hackney on 27th April.

In order to grow, we are looking for a creative, high-energy person with a love for food, who can demonstrate friendly customer service and high standards of cleanliness. It’s an exciting time to join Mamma G Cookies as a Sales and Production Assistant as you’ll get the chance to work on new flavours, have real impact on growing the business as well as sell our cookie story to the world!!

Responsibilities include:

• Cooking, cleaning and assisting in the production and packaging of cookies in a fast-paced environment
• Setting up/closing up the shop, handling deliveries and inventory checks
• Greeting and serving customers, and answering their questions (e.g. about our story, flavours, or allergens
• Assisting with recipe creation for new flavours and festive specials
• Support at upcoming events such as Taste of London

Details:

• Part-time role, £13.15 per hour, c.20 hours per week
• Sales at the shop (Netil Market, E8 3RL)
• Production at the kitchen (Nine Elms, SW7 3BY)
• Bonus incentives for reaching sales milestones

Requirements:

• Ability to commute reliably to both the kitchen and the shop
• Fluent in English
• Weekend and weekday availability
• Previous cooking or baking experience
• Driving license preferred but not essential
• Level 2 Food Safety qualification preferred but not essential
